That’s right. There is a device to stick in the top of your wide-mouth nalgene so you decrease the risk of spilling or splashing all over yourself. I told a classmate about a time I was driving to class and tried to drink from my nalgene unsuccessfully and spilled water all over myself. My shirt was pretty wet and I spent the next 10 minutes before class in my car trying to dry myself off because I didn’t have any spare t-shirts to change in to. This wasn’t the first time I’ve had splashing issues…just the worst. The last day of summer class she shows up with this wonderful life-altering splash guard. I guess she had her husband pick one up and he decided on the smiley face design, she said if it was up to her she would have gone classic black. Oh well…people will just assume I’m this really positive happy person instead of my deep dark depressing water drinking self.
Maybe…
a greyhound could live with us. As many may know I really want a dog. I know they are added responsibility because you have to take them outside to use the bathroom and for exercise. You can’t just leave them for a weekend or 24 hours like a cat. I love boxers but I know our small space is not ideal for that kind of dog. Brent nor I want a yippy small dog either. So Apartment Therapy-Chicago tells me greyhounds are good dogs for small spaces. I think I have heard this before but for some reason when I saw this post I decided to research greyhounds.
I bought books. (I’ve already read one of them). We talked to a man at the pet store representing the local greyhound chapter. We’ll see…something to think about and consider after we both get in to the fall semester routine.
These seemed to be the two most recommended books. Plus you have to read one before you apply for adoption at the Indy chapter. I’ve learned a lot. Some aren’t cat friendly because they did grow up chasing a fake rabbit around a track. From birth they have been in kennels or at a track so they don’t know what home life is like. They have to learn about windows, stairs, sounds, people, etc. It seems like most are shy to begin with. They sleep about 18 hrs a day. They can go about 40 miles per hour. You have to always keep them on a leash outside for that reason unless they are in a fenced in backyard. They feel safe in their small spaces because they grew up in a kennel. They are very intriguing with a long history.

Tell No One
Ne le dis à personne (Tell No One) was a French thriller. I found it quite enjoyable. There were even gasps from the audience at a couple parts, kind of unfounded, but they were there.
This movie is about a doctor and his wife. They go to a lake which it seems they grew up going to but one night the wife is murdered. Eight years pass and the doctor receives a message indicating she is still alive. Then ensues a journey into the past to find out the truth of what really happened.
It was interesting that usually when you are watching a foreign film you have this feeling that it is a foreign film. With Tell No One, it seems like it could have been an American made movie. I liked the soundtrack chosen to go with the movie especially when the played U2. It was surprising to suddenly hear English in the midst of French.
It had a wee bit of far-fetchedness but for the most part I felt like it was something that could have happened. Actually, probably wouldn’t really happen, but it gave off that feeling. I recommend it.

I got I-CY for Brent for Christmas. Since he is in the process of changing offices we brought him home.
IUB Campus
Look how beautiful it is. Instead I started school today at IUPUI. Unfortunately it doesn’t have scenery like this.
