The Brothers Bloom
The Brothers Bloom is about two brothers who became cons at an early age like 13 and 7. We see where they started and then we come to modern day. They are finishing a con where one brother, Bloom decides he has had enough. But of course another one comes up, involving a woman, which he can’t refuse. This is where Penelope (Rachel Weisz) comes in, an eccentric rich recluse. The con begins with Bloom’s bike running in to her Lamborghini. Bloom develops a relationship with her so she will come along with the brothers to Europe for some antiquing and eventually art smuggling. Penelope gets really in to it because it is the first adventure of her life. Eventually you don’t know where the con ends and begins. It was quite enjoyable. Adrien Brody, Mark Ruffalo, and Rachel Weisz played their characters well. Plus there was this girl called Bang Bang who was part of the brothers bloom team. She was awesome. She didn’t talk but was super funny and liked to blow things up…doesn’t get much better than that.
